Know exam format (multiple choice, essay, open book, etc.)
Get list of topics covered on the exam
Collect all lecture notes and readings
Identify which chapters/sections are most important
Gather past exams or practice questions
Form or join a study group (optional)
Create a study schedule with specific time blocks
Phase 2: Active Study (1 Week Before)
Create summary sheets for each major topic
Make flashcards for key terms and concepts
Complete practice problems without looking at answers
Review and correct practice problems
Teach a concept to someone else (or explain out loud)
Identify weak areas and focus extra time on them
Do at least one full practice exam under timed conditions
Review professor's feedback on previous assignments
Phase 3: Final Review (Day Before)
Do a quick review of summary sheets only
Review any formulas or key facts one more time
Prepare materials needed for exam (calculator, pencils, ID)
Know the exam location and arrive early
Get 7-8 hours of sleep (don't pull an all-nighter!)
