The reflection property states that any ray parallel to the axis of the parabola, upon reflection at the parabola, passes through the focus. Conversely, a ray from the focus reflects parallel to the axis. Applications: satellite dishes concentrate signals at the focus, car headlight reflectors emit parallel beams from a bulb at the focus, solar concentrators focus sunlight to the focus point.
