Napier's Analogy (Tangent Rule)

by Notetube Official49 words6 views

tan(AB2\frac{(A-B}{2}) = (ab(a+b)\frac{(a-b}{(a+b)}) * cotC2\frac{C}{2}. This is used when you know two sides and the included angle (SAS) and need to find the other angles. Combined with A + B = pi - C, you can solve for A and B individually. Less commonly tested but elegant when applicable.
