(fog)(x) = f(g(x)): apply g first, then f. Domain of fog = {x in domain of g : g(x) is in domain of f}. Composition is associative: fo(goh) = (fog)oh. Composition is NOT commutative: fog ≠ gof in general. If f and g are both injective/surjective/bijective, so is fog.
